Acapulco Family Fun!
Magico Mundo Marino This aquarium has a complete display of exotic fish, an oceanography museum, an aviary and live seal shows. You can also play in the park's pool and water slides or sunbathe at its solariums and the beach club. The park also has a video room, telescopes with magnificent views, and a restaurant-bar.
Aviary The Acapulco Aviary has three artificial lakes, rowing and pedal boats, a cable car with a marvelous view of the bay of Acapulco, also waterslide, skating rink, rides, playground, botanical garden, open-air theater, wood jungle gym sets, baby karts, a go-kart track, basketball and soccer courts, extensive green areas, gardens, regional flora and fauna, library, restrooms and an spacious parking lot. The aviary charges a very reasonable admission fee, and it is opened to the public daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Open everyday in a schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Palao Island Club Enjoy a tour in a glass-bottomed boat to see the marine life and the submerged virgin, as well as a diving show. On the island you can swim, see a reenactment of pre-Hispanic rites, lunch at the buffet and enjoy the free bar.
Parque Acuatico CICI Av. Costera Miguel Alemán. Tel. 01 (7) (7) 481-0294 and (7) 484-8033. This park has daily dolphin and seal shows, and facilities include an aquarium, a play lake, a wave pool, water slides and the famous Kamikaze, as well as a beach club, seafood restaurants and bars.
Parque Papagayo Costera Miguel Aleman, between the new and old Acapulco. Also known as Ignacio Manuel Altamirano park, it opened in the 1940s when tourism was just getting started in Acapulco. This park has become one of Acapulco's most important attractions over the years. Facilities include a skating and skateboard track and ramps with equipment rental, video arcade, children's pool, pedal boats and a scenic train that tours the site.
Castillo del Rey Leon Located along the highway Pie de la Cuesta. An exuberant tropical jungle for the whole family to enjoy, with children's attractions, a train, pools with wading pools and slides, playing fields, videogames and a lunch buffet. On the road to Pie de la Cuesta.
